Russell Baze (Christian Bale) works a dead end factory job in a US Mid-West small town caring for his terminally ill Father, his brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns from serving in Iraq and gets mixed up with a crime ring and 'disappears', Russell fears the worst and wants answers...or revenge.
An excellent brooding low key drama with top drawer performance's from Bale and Affleck ably supported by Zoe Saldaner, Forest Whittaker and Woody Harrelson and his sneering vile best as the gang leader. Atmospheric, dark, gritty and brooding with a fine cast, recommended.
