Looking at the dvd cover you'd be expecting a WW2 zombie horror romp along the lines of 'Dead Snow', think again.
The movie starts off promisingly, a shootout involving second world war Russian soldiers and what seems the 'undead' with cheap and cheerful effects, sadly it's all downhill from there. The movie switches to modern day Bulgaria, except this is Bulgaria during the cold war it would seem, all seedy strip bars, scary old ladies and 1970's crumbling tower blocks.
The next 40 minutes shuffle along at a painful pace, not helped by the lead man Paul Logan as a US special forces captain, who has one expression, seriousness. The performances all round are pretty wooden, and the whole things nothing more than a cheap low budget excuse for a '28 Days Later' rip off.
