Based on the true story of Captain Richard Phillips who taken hostage by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean during the
Maersk Alabama hijacking in 2009, starring Tom Hanks and directed by Paul Greengrass, most famous for the two 'Bourne' movies, but more notably when it came to this film, the brilliant 'United 93' this had quality written all over it from the off.
Taut, tense, the acting is of the highest class, Hanks putting in a 10/10 performance, gritty, realistic and engrossing throughout it's 2 hour running time, this along with the equally excellent
'A Hijacking' shows the true terror of modern day piracy.
