We're The Millers (2013)

I've got to admit, expectations weren't that high for this flick, for example Jennifer Annison's comedy portfolio isn't one to brag about ('Marley And Me' anyone?) but, what the hell, it's a dull Thursday night, the vino's chilled, lets give it a go.

So what do you get, well to my pleasant surprise it's a road movie featuring four "likeable" leads, three messed up individuals and a geek (Brit teen Will Poulter  steals the show) who pretend to be a family to import  a consignment of the old 'Mary Jane' across the Mexican boarder into the States, what could go wrong?

Well during the trip we get gags about incest, bollock biting arachnids, casual drug running, juggernauts 'running over' babys, a multi millionaire with a pet whale, all done in the worst possible taste. All the characters are OTT, but over time you learn to warm to them as a 'family', most important of all though it is consistently funny, loads of great lines ("she'll be fine..tattooed kid with a motorcycle and no helmet...actually she might already be pregnant!") topped of with some amusing out takes, including a sweet 'Friends' tribute.
