Pat's (Bradley Cooper) life isn't going to plan, released from a State Institute (the funny farm) he's lost his home, job and separated from his Wife (after finding her having sex in the shower with a Tutor, and beating him up) and facing the indignation of moving in with his Parents.Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) a girl who too has problems, recently widowed, and with a rep as the Town 'bike'.Tiffany wants to enter a dance competition and needs a partner, promising Pat she'll relay messages to his ex-Wife in the hope of a reconciliation, Pat agrees to dance lessons and to enter the competition.
Not really the most exciting premise for a movie but one that was receiving rave reviews and with not just a good lead cast but excellent supporting roles from of Robert De Niro , Julia Styles and Chris Tucker I was more than intrigued, thoroughly entertaining stuff it is too.Nice to De Niro flexing his acting wings so well as Pat's slight over-bearing ocd Dad, you pretty much know (and hope) what how the film will end but it will fill you with a warm , gooey, feel good glow.
