21 And Over (2013)

The premise isn't wholly original, a straight A student is taken out for a "quiet night" by his two High School friends for his 21st birthday, this soon goes pear shaped and descends into a drunken debauched night....

Obviously "The Hangover" movie series spring to mind, but thankfully, largely due to the likable characters, this doesn't descend into the nastiness that tainted those films (especially the hideous second outing).Miles Teller as Miller (reminiscent of early John Cusack) is great fun, a smart ass who doesn't worry about tomorrow, with plenty of witty one liners "I take my cat for walks.....she has fat legs" and he is ably supported by the smooth Casey (Skylar Astin),when questioned why he isn't in a Frat "because I've not got anger issues and secretly gay".

The film does hover around some of the cliche's prevalent in this genre, getting girls to make out for a dare, and the character of Jeff Chang does hover close to racist stereotyping, but it's got plenty of laughs, and it's heart is generally in a good place.
