Trouble With The Curve (2012)

Clint Eastwood plays Clint Eastwood, sorry, Gus Lobel, a long in the tooth Baseball (men's Rounders) Scout, who fears age might be catching up with him, and his friends and Family fear  the same, but something Gus refuses to acknowledge in his stubbornness.

An above average screenplay is elevated to something heartwarming and watchable by the excellent cast.Amy Adams is engaging and charming as Gus's daughter, a high flying lawyer with a heart of gold, excellent support from the always excellent John Goodman and Justin Timberlake, and as for the great man himself, Mr Eastwood, I could watch him sell paint on QVC all day and still be entertained.

A film that plays it safe but presses all the right buttons.
