It's the Summer season, and just like beach towels and rain we get a Michael Bay movie, but have no fear, for this is a slight departure form Bay's previous releases such as "Pearl Harbour" and the interminable "Transformers 2". Incredibly based on a true story, three personal trainers plan a kidnapping, intent on stealing all of the millionaires fortune....but these guys aren't the sharpest tools in the box and things start to spiral out of control.
It's rude, crude, lude and crass, but with a witty, snappy script full of great lines ("We're looking for merchandise to shock, incapacitate and in-prison our fellow man!") and with three great leads (Three Stooges?) it's also great fun. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in great form as a God fearing, coke fuelled human rhino of a man on steroids ("Jesus Christ has blessed me with many gifts, and one of them is knocking people the fuck out!").
Yes it's probably 20 minutes too long but this is still entertaining, sleazy fun with lashings of black humour.
