There's been a good run of wildly inventive animated movies in the past few months/years, "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatball's", the utterly wonderful "Up" (which I re watched yet again over Christmas and is still as magical as the first time I viewed it) and more recently the excellent "Hotel Transylvania" and "Frankenweenie".
So this was a movie I was quite looking forward to, excellent reviews from most critics, I had high hopes.Oh dear.Wreck It Ralph is a video games character, increasingly frustrated at being the 'bad guy' he takes matters into his own big hands and embarks on a game hopping journey across the arcade.
If you're in your very early teens or younger, or love watching someone play a video game for 90 minutes, you'll have plenty to enjoy, but sadly for the rest of us its glitzy, childish, tedious nonsense..Films such as "Hotel Transylvania" had the perfect balance of fun, cutesy storytelling that youngsters and adults too. could enjoy, this though is just way too sugar sweet, with a very limp plot.
